SUBJECT HISTORY
Jinx (born as Powder) is a notorious Zaunite criminal and one of the two lead characters in the animated series Arcane, alongside her older sister Vi. When she was a little girl, her parents were killed in a failed uprising against Piltover Crest icon Piltover, leading Vander, the leader of the rebellion, to adopt her and her sister as his daughters. After a series of tragic events forced Jinx and Vi apart, she was fundamentally and irreversibly changed.

BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER (BPD)
The BPD Jinx carries with her was nurtured over her childhood. This is due to her great fear of abandonment, intense and unstable emotions, erratic and impulsive behavior, and abandonment she faced throughout her childhood.
Jinx finds it difficult to trust those around her, often calling others liars and needing her trust to be earned. The typically feels a strong rage when lied to and switched her opinions completely about said person.
The negative thoughts Jinx carries with her are produced by the negative disapproval of those around her during early childhood. As a child, she had strong feelings of not being good enough as Vi, Mylo and Claggor.
SCHIZOPHRENIA
Jinx carries Schizophrenia with her throughout her life as a result of an experiment done on her in order to save her life.
Singed, a scientist, made an attempt to save her—chemically altering her but saving her from death. However, this chemical alteration would amplify Jinx's mental problems, making her extremely paranoid.
The trauma from both losing her parents at a young age and then accidentally killing her adoptive family breaks Jinx. She feels an overwhelming guilt towards the incident that caused their deaths.
POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER
Because of multiple traumatic experiences Jinx experienced during childhood, she suffers from PTSD during her everyday life.
Jinx will often react erratically when reminded of the event that killed her family. Upon seeing her family in trouble, Powder set off a handmade bomb, powered by Hextech crystals. The explosion destroyed Silco's Shimmer production facility, but also killed Vander, Mylo, and Claggor.
After conflict arose during the rescue that killed their adopted family, Vi learns of Powder's actions. She yells at her—calling her a 'Jinx' before walking away. This causes explosive temper from Jinx when thoughts of being abandoned again arise.
IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR
Jinx grew up to become "manic and impulsive" due to the trauma leading up to her life. She doesn't react kindly to lies, and will often react impulsively with aggression when misled.
LONER
Between Jinx and her adoptive family was very focused on tough love. The only person she could rely on was Vi, her biological older sister. She would not judge her for being shy and lonely and instead embrace that. She told her, “What makes you different makes you special.”
Family Dynamics - Growing up, Powder and Vi were very close and had a loving dynamic. Vi was overly protective of Powder, defending her from Mylo and shielding Powder from any mental or physical harm. Though because of the abandonment on the rescue mission, Jinx and Vi grew apart even after being reunited 5-6 years later.

TREATMENT
Psychotherapy, medicine, and peer and family support are all possible components of a comprehensive treatment approach. The goal is to lessen the severity of symptoms while improving quality of life.

NEXT STEPS
Because the patient is primarily treated with psychotherapy, talk therapy may be beneficial in the following steps. However, medicine may be added. If Jinx's safety is jeopardized, I may recommend that she be admitted to the hospital. Treatment can help her gain strategies for managing and coping with her illnesses.
TREATMENT PLAN
Psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT), family therapy, and psychosocial therapy can all help people comprehend and cope with her disease.
As she is living with schizophrenia, this may require hospitalization if they endanger themselves or others, or if they fail to meet their fundamental needs.
Successful therapy, particularly for teenagers, depends on early intervention.
Her schizophrenia is often treated under the supervision of a psychiatrist, using a mix of medication, counseling, and other forms of support.
